Food supply chain continues to adapt

May 19, 2020 5:17:51 PM / by Ivan Barrios

COVID-19 has put the global food supply chain to the test.  While there have been challenges, the sector has and continues to adapt and deliver food supplies to our homes, local supermarkets and around the world.

There is no doubt that the food and beverage industry sector has been hard hit.  From farmers, to manufacturers, to restaurants and retailers as well as it workforce. There is also no doubt that our food and beverage supply chain is essential.

The World Trade Center Miami (WTCM) has hosted and organized the Americas Food and Beverage Show for the past 23 years.  We again look forward to hosting the 24th annual show on November 2-3, 2020 at the Miami Beach Convention Center.

We have a long-standing commitment and partnership with this sector and now, more than ever, look forward to helping the food and beverage industry adapt to the next normal, promote their businesses and connect with buyers, suppliers, and services. The show is a unique platform for the food & beverage industry to connect, learn and discover new food and beverage products and services from manufacturers in Western Hemisphere and the rest of the world.

In addition to the trade show component, WTCM will be adding a virtual platform that will deliver one-on-one meetings, conference sessions and exhibitor and show tours.  The virtual platform will increase the ability to connect customers and suppliers across the industry.

At the Miami Beach Convention Center, the WTCM team is designing and developing a show and conference that will include all the necessary safety precautions and protocols in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.  These precautions and protocols include wearing masks, sanitizing stations, a temperature-taking station for all participants and disinfection protocols for the trade show hall and conference rooms.

The Americas Food & Beverage Show is expected to have more than 300 exhibitors with over 5,000 visitors from more the 60 countries.  The show is sponsored by the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASADA), the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the World Trade Center Miami.

For information on reserving an exhibition booth and attending the show visit americasfoodandbeverage.com or contact Jonathan Martinez at 305-871-7910 or via email jmartinez@worldtrade.org .

We look forward to seeing everyone in person or virtually in November.
